Below is the schedule for 2025-2026.  Any changes to this schedule due to unforeseen circumstances - we will email membership, post to social media, and post to kmfsc.org

Practice ice

Regular season ice will start 9/3.  There will be no ice on the holiday (9/1) Practice Ice will be available for sign-up on Daysmart Recreation

Reminder - Basic Skills Level 4 or higher skaters are allowed to practice on KMFSC Club Ice & KMIC Open figure skating Ice without a coach. This means that any skater who is a level of Basic 3 & below is required to be in a lesson with a coach while on KMFSC Club Ice or KMIC Open figure skating Ice OR have permission from the LTS Director.

Events and Competitions

Turkey Twizzle - 11/15/25

11/16/25 - Exhibition and try skating for free during club ice time (tentative)

Test Session - the week of 12/7/25 or 12/14/25

12/28/25 - DJ Skate and Holiday Party

4/11/2026 - Bunny hop

End of Year Celebration - May / June date TBA

Ice show - 4/25 and 4/26

ice show registration is due January 4, 2026

Ice show practice times - starting March 15 - Wednesdays and Sundays - 1.5 hours each day

Ice Show Picture Day - March 8 (Tentative)


Learn to Skate Classes

Session 1- 9/7 - 10/5 - 5 weeks

Session 2 - 10/12 - 11/16

Session 3 - 11/23 - 1/4 (off 12/28)

Session 4 - 1/11 - 2/15

Session 5 - 2/22 - 3/29

Classes run on Sundays

  • 4:30 - 5:00 PM - Introductory classes for children ages 6.5 or younger - Snow Plow Sam (introduction to skating)
  • 4:30 - 5:00 PM - Aspire / Specialty Class on-ice work and 5:05 - 5:20 PM - Aspire / Specialty Class off-ice work (for skaters in Pre-FreeSkate or above)
  • 5:00 - 5:15 PM - Zam
  • 5:15 - 6:00 PM - Adults and Levels Basic 1 thru Basic 6 (minimum age is 6.5 years old unless you have previously passed Snow Plow Sam 1-4)
  • 6:00 - 6:45 PM - Freeskate Levels (skaters who passed all 6 levels of the Basic skills program)

Learn to Skate - $100 for KMFSC members or $110 for non-members per session

Aspire - $85 for KMFSC members or $95 for non-members per session

Once per year LearnToSkateUSA.com registration fee (parents self-register)

Practice Ice

$15 / hour for members, $20 / hour for non-members

Mondays (through early November) - 3 - 6 PM (off for the 9/1 holiday)

Wednesdays - 3 - 6 PM

Fridays - 2:30 - 5:30 PM

Sundays - 3 - 4:30 PM before class, and 7 - 8:30 PM after class
